Garages and Parking Spaces
You can apply to rent a garage from us.
If there’s a waiting list in the area you want, the next available garage usually goes to whoever has been waiting the longest – although it may go to someone who needs it more urgently; eg because they are disabled.
Before you apply for a garage, make sure you accept the rules in the tenancy agreement – you can’t use a garage for a trade or business for example.
All vehicles are to be parked on the road or a designated parking area. You can only park your vehicle in your garden providing you have a properly constructed hardstanding and a dropped kerb to the highway.
It is part of your tenancy agreement that any vehicle parked on a hardstanding must be roadworthy, taxed and insured – If it is not, it may be removed.
You will also need apply to the council for the kerb to be dropped.
If you are considering creating a hardstanding to park your vehicle, Get in Touch and we can give you advice.
