Resident Engagement offers you a range of opportunities to make a difference within your community
- Tenants’ and Residents’ Groups (TARA’s)
Our Neighbourhood Officers and Resident Engagement team work with many independent Tenants’ and Residents’ Groups to help improve services across our estates.
If you are interested in finding out about groups in your area, or would like to set up your own group, please contact the Resident Engagement Team directly, or contact your local office, and ask to speak with a member of the Resident Engagement Team.
- Neighbourhood walkabouts
Neighbourhood Officers regularly inspect our schemes and we will invite you to join us on planned walkabouts. We aim to do this in agreement with local tenants but typically quarterly or at least twice a year.
Please contact your Neighbourhood Officer to find out more.
- Estate Services Groups
There are now three Estate Services Groups covering all regions - In conjunction with the Estate teams.
Meeting three times a year, the role of residents on these groups is to help us improve grounds maintenance and cleaning services.
Members of the Yorkshire and Humber group will have some involvement in assessing contractors for the grounds maintenance contract.
We are in the process of rolling out Estate Inspectors to help us assess standards on estates; if you are interested in finding out more, please contact us, or contact your local office, and ask to speak with a member of the Resident Engagement Team.
- Gardening competition
In response to resident requests posted on our Facebook Group, we have re-launched the annual gardening competition, as a digital competition.
The competition will run annually between April and August each year.
- Local Panels
We have 4 Local Panels made up of tenants, residents, and independent members, who look at our performance.
Local Panels help make sure that the Corporate Plan and Strategies are delivered at a local level.
- Digital Consultation Group
We have set up a Resident Engagement Facebook group. This is a consultation group who we can contact to obtain feedback on key issues.
We also organise face-to-face focus groups to discuss service improvements.
The Facebook group is open to any tenant or resident of Together Housing.
Please click here to join the group.
- Pop Up Events
We organise local events to address specific issues on an estate.
We may also carry out one-off focus groups or surveys to find out our residents’ views about a specific issue.
If you have an idea for an event or activity which would improve conditions on your estate, please talk to your Neighbourhood Officer or get in touch with a member of the Resident Engagement team about your ideas.
- Fire Safety
We are actively promoting an initiative called ‘TRIO’ (The Responsibility Is Ours) and our staff teams are working closely with tenants to spread the word about fire safety.
To help with this work, we have tenant membership on our staff Fire Safety Policies & Procedures Group (FSPPG).
If you would like to find out more about our fire safety work please contact the Resident Engagement Team directly, or contact your local office, and ask to speak with a member of the Resident Engagement Team.
- Consultation Group
Why not come along to one of our Consultation groups?
These meetings focus on a different area of our service each time.
This is your opportunity to meet managers of a service such as repairs, or customer services, give your opinions, and influence how we do things in future. You can come to as many or as few meetings as you like.
To find out more please talk to your Neighbourhood Officer or get in touch with a member of the Resident Engagement team about your ideas.
- Residents’ Conference
In 2018 we introduced our Residents’ Conference – an opportunity to hear from and influence key speakers on the strategy and direction of Together Housing Group.
- Community Grants
We have a small pot of money available to tenants and residents who have an idea or project that they would like to get off the ground but don’t have the money to make it happen. For example – ideas to improve the environment, a community event that will benefit the estate, or a small-scale gardening project.
To find out more, please talk to your Neighbourhood Officer or get in touch with a member of the Resident Engagement team about your ideas.
- Feedback on services – Rant & Rave
Rant & Rave is an independent organisation which carries out text surveys to gauge customer satisfaction with our key services - such as repairs, and customer services.
- Satisfaction Survey (STAR)
Every 6 months we ask an independent organisation (Leadership Factor) to survey a sample of our customers to gauge satisfaction with our services so that we know where improvements need to be made.
We use information from Rant & Rave and STAR to carry out face-to-face focus groups with tenants & residents to probe areas of poor performance and discuss how services can be improved.
- Complaints and compliments
We have a system for dealing with complaints and analyse trends to make sure that issues are followed up, and where our service has fallen short of expected standards, that we learn from our mistakes.
