Young people in Lancashire are being given the opportunity to find out more about a career in housing via a unique digital event.
In partnership with Lancashire Careers Hub, Lancashire Enterprise Partnership and the Careers and Enterprise Company, Blackburn based housing association Together Housing Group is taking part in LearnLive on Wednesday 11 November.
Every school across Blackburn with Darwen will be invited to join a live broadcast and watch showreels from potential future employers. There will also be an opportunity for young people to ask questions via the chat function.
Among the roles being showcased will be an apprentice plumber, a business administrator and a digital sales analysist at Together Housing Group.
Nigel Jones, Head of People Services at Together Housing Group, said: “Housing is one of the most diverse sectors you can work in whether you’re looking for a hands-on practical role, a customer-facing role or a back-office business role
“Not only that, but we also offer great flexibility and benefits to support our colleagues throughout their career with us. In addition to wide range of personal and professional development opportunities, our colleagues can benefit from a company sponsored cashback health plan and access to a range of financial wellbeing products including low interest loans, savings and financial education.
He added: “If you choose to work in housing, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your contribution really matters, because everyone needs somewhere decent and affordable to live. The work is often challenging but the rewards in terms of satisfaction are high.”
