Together Housing Association staff recently organised and took part in the national Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraiser held on Friday 24th September, raising in total £422.07 from sales and donations.
This fantastic event is a national opportunity to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support to help people living with Cancer.
Linsay Severn, Community Wellbeing Officer and Joanna Snell, Supported Housing Officer organised the fundraising events and were thrilled that many people turned up in support, all whilst enjoying a cuppa and cake. Linsay said, “We want to thank everyone who took part in the event, we have been able to support a very worthwhile cause whilst enabling people to get together, something that wasn’t possible during Covid.”
Joanna added, “We were overwhelmed by the food donations and amazing raffle prizes. Thank you to the local business that supported the event and to the four Retirement Living Schemes that took part.”
Lisa Rowe, Supported Housing Manager said, “Thank you to Linsay and Joanna who organised these events over 2 days. We had a great turn out and importantly we raised money for such a worthwhile cause.”
