On 3rd February we will be holding an online briefing session about the Government’s recent publication of the Social Housing White Paper, but you may be wondering what is the Government White Paper and how can you get involved?
What is the Social Housing White Paper for Social Housing residents?
The Social Housing White Paper is called The Charter for Social Housing Residents. It proposes what residents of social housing should expect. This includes being safe in your home, having complaints dealt with fairly and promptly and knowing how your landlord is performing.
We are already looking at the document carefully and we are looking forward to engaging positively with the Government and the Regulator of Social Housing as they implement the proposals set out in the White Paper over the coming months and years.
You can read the full White paper in full here.
What is a briefing session, and can I join?
This online session is available for residents who would like to know more about the Social Housing White Paper and will go through the content of the document. Please be aware that a lot of the detail around the proposals in the White Paper is not yet available.
How can I get involved?
The online session will be taking place on 3rd February from 1-2pm.
You can register your interest by sending an email with your name and contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday 26th January.
An invitation to the online session will then be sent to you nearer to the time.
