Furnishing your home needn’t cost a fortune.

Our Cost of Running Your Home guide lists some local re-use/recycle furniture stores and includes information on finding help if you can’t afford the furniture you need.

The ReUse centre, based on Pickup Street, Blackburn, sells new, pre-owned and pre-loved goods at low prices to help people make their house a home.

Newground ReUse sells everything from furniture, electrical items, beds, new mattresses, carpet tiles, a range of white goods and swatches of fabric to help furnish peoples’ homes on a budget.

But that’s not all. Volunteers and apprentices will be able to work alongside mentors to teach them work skills that could lead to further employment opportunities.

You can call Newground ReUse on 0300 555 5573 or visit https://reusetogether.co.uk/.

You can also follow Newground ReUse on Facebook and Twitter.
