THGThe Together Housing Group will build 376 new homes across the North and Midlands after being granted £14.2m funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.

The Social Landlord, which manages 37,000 across Lancashire, Yorkshire, Humberside, Salford and the East Midlands, got the funding as part of the Shared Ownership and Affordable Homes Programme 2016-21, announced by Communities Secretary Sajid Javid MP.

In the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, plans are to build 214 new homes (184 Rent to Buy and 30 Shared Ownership) – an investment of £7.71million. In East Lancashire, a further £6.48million will be invested into building 162 new homes (152 Rent to Buy and 10 Shared Ownership).

Steve Close, Together Housing Group Chief Executive, said; “Together has a great track record of delivering new homes across the range of tenures in the North and East Midlands. We are delighted with this allocation which adds to our existing development programme and helps us continue our work in addressing the shortage of good quality housing. This new investment will not only provide new homes, it will also bring significant economic benefits to the local communities.”
