Rugby player helps open development in Hull

Kingston Rovers player Junior Vaivai helped Together Housing’s Chief Executive Steve Close launch the show home at an award-winning development in Hull.

Compendium Living, which is one of Kingston Rovers’ biggest sponsors, invited Junior along to The Leeway 2 in Ings to view the new show home and meet the first residents who will be moving in – rugby fan Kirk Smith and his wife Laura.

The Leeway 2 will feature 68 homes, including four two bedroom bungalows available to local people via Together Housing.

It is part of a wider development, in partnership with Hull City Council, which will see over 700 new homes built in Ings, another phase of which recently won ‘Best 20+ New Housing Development’ at the South Yorkshire and Humberside Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards.
