Green fingered tenants at Mytholm Court have given the centre a blooming marvellous look after getting down and gardening.
Keen gardener Joan Coyne spruced up the entrance of the sheltered housing scheme, owned by Together Housing , with some brightly coloured planters while Mary Sayer, supported by her daughter Diane, created a cottage garden.
Joan said that she had really enjoyed getting involved: “I’ve always been a keen gardener and it’s lovely that I can continue spending time doing this.
Diane used hollyhocks, lupins and other perennial favourites to create a colourful cottage garden, which all the tenants can now enjoy.
Pauline Walker, Wellbeing Coordinator at Together Housing, paid tributes to their efforts: “Keeping up with interests is important for tenants’ wellbeing and, when those interests include being able to transform outdoor space into these beautiful areas everyone can enjoy, their hard work is appreciated by so many others.”
