Gas Safety Week 2017

Gas Safety Week 2017

Gas Safety Week runs from 18th to 24th September. We’ve made 5 new videos to raise our tenants’ awareness of the importance of gas safety. Click on the links below.

    • Stay Gas Safe

    • Annual Gas Safety Check

    • Gas Leak

    • Missed Appointments

    • Tightness Test

Together Housing has a legal responsibility to carry out a gas safety check in your home every year. This is for the safety of you, your family and your neighbours. Keeping your gas boiler working efficiently will also help keep your gas bill down.

You must let our gas technician into your home to carry out the safety check. If you’re unable to keep your appointment, it’s really important you tell us as soon as possible so we can make an alternative appointment with you.

To help us keep in-touch with you, we need your up to date contact details. Please tell us if you have changed your mobile number or email address.

If you don’t allow us in to carry out the gas safety check, this can result in legal action against you. You might have to pay costs and this could lead to even more serious action. You don’t want that, and neither do we!

Please also note, secondary heating is no longer allowed. Together Housing will not give you permission to install your own heaters such as log burning stoves.

We very much appreciate your co-operation with the annual gas check so we can keep you, your family and your home safe.
