Lost It Gen A4 WC18 - Low Res It’s the World Cup and most of us will enjoy a feast of football over the coming weeks. But the Police have warned that there could be an increase in domestic abuse during the tournament, triggered by drinking sessions and heightened emotions.

During previous tournaments, the Police saw domestic abuse increase and received a worryingly high number of 110 calls relating to domestic abuse incidents per England game.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse, or know someone who is, you can contact the Police 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the non-emergency number 101.
