There was further success as Madison Ward (10) was a finalist in the same category. Reachout does a huge amount of work in the borough, especially on the St James estate in Darwen where they are based, supporting communities through various projects.

Susan Harrison, Senior Sustainable Communities Officer at Reachout, said: “We are so proud of Zac and Madison who do a fantastic amount of work in the community. They’re very deserving of their awards.

“We have a group of young people who work hard to make their community a better place so it’s delighted that their work, and Reachout’s work, is recognised in this way.”
