Together Housing supports peace and culture festival

Together Housing are showing their support for a Good Neighbours Project taking place in Colne and Nelson by donating money for the running of the community event.

The project, organised by Building Bridges Pendle, will involve two major events taking place on Saturday 30th June: the Peace Walk and the Festival of Culture. The events will bring together members of the community in the spirit of shared identity, celebrating the cultural diversity of Pendle.

The Peace Walk will take place from 10:30am – 11:30am, seeing two groups of people from the local community following routes along main roads and scenic canal towpaths. One group setting off from Colne town centre and the second group from Pendleside Hospice in Brierfold; before both converging at the Nelson Shuttle to take part in the Festival of Culture.

The Festival of Culture, taking place from 11:30am – 4:00pm is a family fun day which will celebrate people, environment and culture. Taking place in Colne town centre, there will be live music, an interactive art zone, funfair rides, storytelling and craft workshops, a bouncy castle, emergency service vehicles, food court and Talking Society activities.

Together Housing are proud to support the cultural diversity of Pendle. Residents are invited to join the Peace Walk and Festival of Culture 2018 for what promises to be an exciting and unique day.
