Speak to us before it’s too late!

If you are receiving letters about rent you owe to Together Housing, speak to us as early as possible. Don’t wait for the letter about eviction. We can usually help you get your finances under control.

Text RENT HELP to 66099 and one of our friendly Advisors will contact you.

Call your Customer Service Centre and ask to speak to your Income Officer – together we can look for a solution.

We can help with:

  • Housing or income related benefit problems and advice on budgeting problems.
  • Managing out of control energy costs.
  • Supporting you if you are struggling to manage your tenancy.
  • Getting back into work.
  • Find ways to help you plan for those everyday events that stop you paying your rent.

We will always contact you if you fall into debt with us and try to support you to come to an arrangement without it being necessary to go to court. However, if you do not accept the support or fail to keep to an arrangement to pay your rent and reduce the debt, then we will apply to the court for a possession order, and then ultimately, an eviction warrant.

Eviction has a massive impact on people’s lives. Evicted families can find it very difficult to secure a new home and might have to move many miles to a new area, and their children could have to change schools. Families might lose all their possessions. Eviction can also lead to job losses and can affect people's mental health.

It’s never too late to contact us if you are struggling with your rent payments. Many evictions could have been prevented. We can help.
