Which housing association do you work with and at which office? Twin Valley Homes, Blackburn

How did you come to work with Together Housing? I got my apprenticeship whilst I was doing a course at training 2000 the vacancy came up and I applied.

What are your normal working hours? Full time

What does your day to day work involve? My day to day work is going to tenanted houses in Blackburn and Darwen repairing plumbing faults e.g. dripping taps, toilets not flushing and gully cleans.

What do you enjoy about your work? I enjoy working with my fellow work colleagues having a laugh at work and learning more and more every day. Work life is not much different to college life apart from you get more involved at work were as at college you're writing a lot more rather than practical work.

What’s the most challenging part of your work? The most challenging part of my job is when I'm struggling with a job, I just taking a minute to focus and try again. 

What are your future goals? I am working towards a city guilds level 3 qualifications in plumbing and heating. My next step after my apprenticeship is to get fully qualified and hopefully stay on with the together group and grow as a person and become more and more confident with my job.

I've learnt a lot from my apprenticeship including life skills such as managing money and communication skills and learning how to work in a team.
