I hope you are keeping safe and well and coping with the effects of the pandemic. The massive impact on communities and the economy is such that many of you will have contracted the virus and some families may have experienced tragic loss of life.
We understand many of you are struggling at the moment and our services have been adapted to make sure we can offer assistance where required. We certainly don’t want anyone to lose their home, so if you can’t pay your rent for any reason, please get in touch and we will do our best to find a solution.
Our Income Team offers friendly financial and benefits advice. We are also working hard at delivering training and employment opportunities to help people get back into work through our Charity Newground Together.
Despite the crisis, we’re still doing repairs, including essential gas and electric checks that keep you safe in your home. Rest assured, all our staff have adopted safe working practices to stop the spread of coronavirus. Please allow our technicians access and in particular for the gas and electrical checks.
We will do our best to achieve all appointments but please bear with us if we have to rearrange. If any of our repairs staff and sub-contractors are having to self-isolate, there may be some delays but we’re trying to run all our services as normal.
Although it’s a very difficult time, I do hope you and your family are able to enjoy a good Christmas and hopefully the New Year will be better for us all.
Stay safe and healthy.
Steve Close, Chief Executive
