A Community Grant is funding for projects in areas where Together Housing is active and has a knowledge of community issues. With the funding being made available from our charitable arm Newground Together, these grants provide a quick decision for groups in need of a few hundred pounds for specific activities that provide community benefit.
What could you get a Community Grant for? Here are some examples:
- Projects that improve the physical and mental health of residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Environmental projects with local volunteers that will improve our neighbourhoods.
- Resources or equipment to enable small scale projects to take place.
- For community projects that demonstrate public benefit and fit in with our listed themes*
*Support for vulnerable groups, education and training, community action, community safety, health and wellbeing, improving the environment, tackling social and economic exclusions.
Groups with a bank account in their group name can apply for a grant of up to £500. The decision is made within 3-4 weeks with 100% of the grant being paid in advance. A risk assessment will also take place to determine how COVID Safe the activity is.
