Welcome to the Together Housing Group

The Together Housing Group is a leading provider of quality affordable and modern homes for rent across the North of England.

The Together Housing Group is spread across the North of England, the group combines decades of skill and experience managing over 35,000 homes, affecting over 50,000 people’s lives and employing over 1,250 staff.  Each partner company has retained its local identity for local communities. Backed up by the shared skills and expertise of the Together Housing Group we aim to give better services and value to our customers, and achieve our mission of Making a Better Future Together.

The Group was formed in April 2011 following the coming together of three well established housing groups;

  • Chevin Housing Group - Chevin Housing Association, Harewood Housing Society and Synergy Housing Solutions - operating in the Yorkshire and Humber regions.
  • Prospect Homes - Twin Valley Homes and Housing Pendle, both in Pennine Lancashire.
  • Trans-Pennine Housing - Pennine Housing 2000 in Calderdale and Sheffield and Green Vale Homes in Pennine Lancashire

In July 2013 we welcomed the social enterprise Newground into the Together Housing Group. (see press release).

Newground Together is the Group’s latest member and consists of a registered charity, Newground Together, and a wholly owned subsidiary of the charity, Newground, which is a Community Interest Company (or social enterprise).

The charity Newground Together will distribute those funds committed from the rest of the group (equalling £50 per property) and those generated from profits made by its commercial subsidiary Newground.  These funds will be awarded to community projects throughout the North West and will help to regenerate local communities and tackle issues of deprivation.

Social Audit Statement published for Together Foundation’s first year

This independent statement by the Social Audit Network reports on the first year of operation of the Together Housing Group’s community regeneration activities and its investment spend of £1.2m, which attracted an additional £1.7 million of matched funding.

We also produce a Value For Money Self Assessment which we provide to our regulator (HCA) setting out how we are achieving VFM in delivering our vision and objectives and how we plan to do so in the future.
